Letter from the TRAP House

With our opening site release approaching and a trip to Manhattan over the weekend, this is a very profound week for us. Due to our recent booms on social media, many have come to ask, "What is TRAP?".

Let's first pay homage to modern day trap music. If hip-hop is the new rock and roll, then trap music is the new heavy metal. Trap music's baseline is a distinct art form, and our base line is the symphony that will revolutionize reality. Our generation will define the wavelengths of these changing frequencies into art, culture, fashion, and life as a whole.

Life is genuinely about one thing, pursuing happiness. Everyone's pursuit of happiness differs and carries various meanings. Your journey to happiness is your TRAP process. Our form of TRAP means Towards Real Achievable Progress, and everything we do in life is essentially done with the goal of progression. Not only do we live life to prosper, we at times have to remind ourselves that we should live a life that we are truly proud and passionate about.

Steve Jobs once said : "When you grow up you tend to get told the world is the way it is and your life is just to live your life inside the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family life, have fun, save a little money.

That’s a very limited life. Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact, and that is - everything around you that you call life, was made up by people that were no smarter than you."

Therefore, if you chose to abandon a collegiate education, decided to travel the world and become a free lance photographer and writer, go TRAP. If you have a hustle mentality of attending a top Law or Med school and becoming one of the best in your field, go TRAP. Our story isn't the only one we're trying to tell. TRAP MMXIII is a reflection of those happily living life, doing what they love and desire. This is to you all out there, excelsior.
